Jack Conners began playing bass guitar at the age of 16. In the early 1970s he joined with former members of Curtis Mayfield’s band to back Detroit soul singer Bobby Franklin. After several years in Detroit, Jack moved to the East Coast and found work in the studios of Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York as bassist, producer and recording engineer. Moving to Nashville in the 1980s, he continued to find studio work and toured with singer Cindy Shelton. Jack currently operates his own recording studio in Traverse City, Michigan. He can be heard on bass with The Fabulous Horndogs, Zen Stew, NMC Jazz Band and the Bay Pointe Worship Band.
